Wyre Light flies the flag with a little help from the Crew - 11th June 2006
Wreck Trek : Saturday July 8th 2006
The five mile guided walk over flat sands at low water visiting Wyre Light and the Stella Marie wreck attracted over 1000 walkers!
Steve Carroll our station mechanic and main event organiser said "This is 3 times the previous best attendance. The recent good weather and widespread publicity helped immensely. I am so pleased the event went so smoothly and would like to thank the Coastguard for their help and support. The event raised over £1000 for the RNLI - thanks everyone"

The weather was brilliant and the day went very well.
Tuesday 25th July : William Street back in the pen
Following several months of re-fit she is now finally back on station.
Fleetwood Lifeboat Day Festival : Saturday July 29th 2006
A full day of demonstrations, stalls, competitions, team truck pull, music and fun took place. The day and the weeks leading up to LBD raised over £10,000 for the RNLI. Special thanks to crew member Dave Butler for all his hard work and of course to the rest of the crew, wags, fundraisers and helpers but mainly to all the kind generous people who turned out and parted with their money. Thanks also to SILQ for entertaining us all, free of charge at the Euston.

First Aid Exercise September 19th 2006
A typical Tuesday night exercise, this time concentrating on first aid. The casualty vessel was a small rib out at Wyre Light with two injured crew, as well as a person with a broken leg in front of the Marine Hall.

Barrow Tyne & Morecambe Hovercraft alongside our own William Street
Earlier, on the same day that we went out to the gas rigs tragedy, we were visited by our friends from Barrow, Lytham, Blackpool and Morecambe, who were all out on exercise and called in to Fleetwood to discuss operations.

Relief boat has been brought back to Fleetwood from Conwy so that our own William Street can go for a new paint job.

The Victoria Pub in Fleetwood held a fundraising day last summer and managed to raise over one thousand pounds for the RNLI. Pictured here is the handing over of the cheque by Angie, Jack and staff.

Chris Hurst our Coxswain retires. He is pictured here with the Divisional Inspector of Lifeboats North, Mr Andrew Ashton handing over his service award certificate in the crewroom. Happily, Chris is staying on as a Deputy Launching Authority standing in for John in his absence.

William Street is now back on station and relief Tyne 47-007 has been taken away by Douglas Lifeboat Crew. The work going on to strengthen the lifeboat pen is nearing completion and we should soon be back to normal.
